Description
The ‘Morus nigra’ is a beautiful fruit tree which features a wonderfully rounded crown and an intricate nest of low-spreading branches. The branches hold pretty heart-shaped green leaves in spring which, come autumn, fade to yellow. The idyllic leaves are accompanied by slightly acidic ‘raspberry-like’ berries which can be utilised for jellies, jams and wine. The sweetly scented berries are a great choice for a sensory garden and are also good for attracting wildlife. A fantastic disease-resistant tree which will add a burst of life to your garden. Ideally suited to a medium-large space.
