Tell Me More…
Elegant cushions of snowy bloomsWith origins in the mountains of southwest Europe, Arenaria montana ‘Snow White’ is an attractive, evergreen, mat forming, flowering alpine. From April to June, plants are cloaked in masses of cup-shaped, bright white flowers, much to the delight of pollinators. Small, grey green foliage forms gentle, delicate mounds, perfect for softening hard edges. A vigorous growth habit means this perennial will quickly fill crevices, cascade over walls, or cover ground in a rockery or dry border. An exceptionally low maintenance source of late spring colour and evergreen interest, also suitable for container growing. Prefers free draining, sandy poor soil in full sun, though will tolerate some shade. Avoid excessive winter wet to see this delightful plant fully thrive. H&S: 15cm x 30cm. Hardy, evergreen perennial.
