Spearmint (mentha spicata) – 6cm Peat Pot Plants. This is the basic culinary mint used for mint sauce, marinades and seasoning meat and fish. Also has uses as a foliage plant that has a wonderful scent. Mint plants prefer full sun, or partial shade with free-draining soil or compost. Plants are invasive, so you may be advised planting into a pot and then sinking into the ground to stop excessive root spread. Alternatively, all Mints are ideal for tubs or pots, or in places where people will brush against the foliage to emanate the strong fragrance.
