Tell Me More…
A new and exciting group 3 clematis which was introduced at RHS Chelsea in 2022 and proved itself to be extremely popular amongst attendees. Clematis Lavalleee offers blended, bicolour tones of rich mauve and white. The large, 6-petalled blooms cannot go unnoticed due to their size and their striking colouration, along with the eyelash-like purple stamens which flutter at you for attention. Clematis Lavalleee is a late season clematis which flowers on new growth each year and will merrily scramble up an obelisk or trellis to give a crescendo of colour from July to September. Just perfect as a colourful accent and an excellent way to obscure any less aesthetic but essential features in the garden such as sheds and compost heaps. Clematis Lavallee is a hardy perennial which prefers a spot which benefits from fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. As with all clematis it likes to keep its roots in the shade whilst being able to flower in the sunshine. Reaches a height of 2m, with a 1m spread.
