- A strongly mint-scented herb with fluffy pinkish-lilac flower heads borne on purple stems

- A hardy native perennial which is attractive to pollinating insects
- Plant moist to wet areas of the garden, near ponds or streams or in the margins of a shallow pond
- The highly aromatic leaves may be used in cooking or to make mint tea
- Can be planted in water up to 7cm deep
