Sowing Information
Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 10-15 ° (50-60 °F) using a good quality compost. Cover the seeds with 6mm (1?4″) sieved compost. Transplant seedlings singly into 75mm (3″) pots, grow on and finally plant outside in well cultivated soil 15cm (6″) between plants each way.
Alternatively, sow in a prepared seedbed at a depth of 13mm ( 1?2″) and transplant with a trowel or dibber when large enough to handle. Plant firmly. A well dug manured site is preferable for top quality heads.
