This resplendent annual produces a mass of delightful flowers in shades of pink and rose, fading to a clear white. Sow February-March under glass for flowers July-September, or March-May outdoors for late summer flowering.

Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at 18-21°C (65-70°F) using a good quality compost. Cover the seeds with 6mm (1?4″) of compost and keep moist. Germination 7-14 days. Transplant seedlings into individual small pots and grow on. Acclimatise plants to outside conditions before planting out 40cm (16″) apart in a sunny position. Can also be sown directly into the garden March-May for late summer flowering.
