A hardy herbaceous perennial. The leaves have a celery-like flavour and can be used in soups, stews and casseroles. Seeds and roots can also be eaten. Harvest June-August.
Sowing Information
Direct sow seeds from March to May, in a well prepared seedbed in full sun or partial shade. Sow seeds 13mm deep in drills 30cm apart. Transplant seedlings to 45cm apart. Seedlings should be thinned or transplanted to 45cm apart.
