A traditional favourite with clear cornflower-blue blooms. Easy to grow. Pretty, delicate foliage and flowers are followed by ornamental seed pods. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Flowers July-September/May-June. Height 50cm (20″). HA – Hardy annual.

Sow the seed thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed free soil where the plants are to flower 6mm (¼”) deep. (Germination 14-30 days). As the seedlings develop, thin them out in stages to achieve a final spacing of 25cm (10″). Use the spare plants to fill any spaces. Remove any weeds as they develop but be very careful not to disturb the young seedlings. Alternatively sow September for early flowering next year.
