Dianthus caryophyllus ‘Peman’, commonly called Carnation ‘Peman,’ is a lovely perennial that bears fragrant, eye-catching pink flowers with a dainty ruffled edge. These flowers, which bloom from late spring to summer, are ideal for bringing a pop of colour to containers, rock gardens, and borders. The vivid blooms are beautifully contrasted with the grass-like, grey-green foliage.
Plant in rich, well-drained soil that receives full sun. To avoid root rot, water frequently, letting the soil dry out a little bit in between applications. Remove spent petals to promote ongoing blooming. For healthy growth, apply a balanced fertiliser early in the spring. Combine with salvia or lavender for a fragrant and colourful garden arrangement. Savour ‘Peman’s’ alluring blossoms and delightful fragrance during the blooming season.
