This Creeping Juniper has a lovely spreading habit and will make a wonderful evergreen ground cover. The silvery-blue foliage has a delicate texture and a pungent aroma typical of Junipers. Juniperus horizontalis ‘Blue Chip’ branch tips turn bronze-purple in the winter, offering a subtle color accent to this low-growing conifer. It tolerates a wide range of garden conditions and is versatile and easy to cultivate. Height: 30cm (12″). Spread: 2m (6′).
Growing Information
Plant Junipers in a sunny or lightly shaded position, in any well drained soil; juniper trees tolerate dry, chalky or sandy soils. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to improve the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply.
