Description
The ‘Superba’ is an all-round great shrub which features stunning beetroot red leaves that start out bronze and turn to a brighter red colour in autumn. Small and glossy berries also appear in autumn and these are popular with wildlife. This deciduous barberry grows to be vigorous and the spiny branches arch over with age. This shrub is perfect for planting as a contrast plant against green-leaved forms of barberry like the ‘Starburst’ and works really well as a low-maintenance hedge.
