Beautiful bright red-maroon flower petals with lighter edges produced on blue-green ferny foliage. Ideal for cut flowers for the home or in arrangements. Plants have a long flowering period. Grow with tomatoes to protect from pests. Flowers June-October. Height 60-70cm (24-28″); spread 20-30cm (8-12″).
Growing Information
Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approximately 15-20ºC using a good quality compost. Cover seeds with 6mm (½”) of compost. (Germination 7-14 days). Transplant seedlings into trays 5cm (2″) apart (or individual pots) and grow in good light. Acclimatise plants to outside conditions and plant out after the last frost at 30cm (12″) spacings. Alternatively, sow directly outside April/May into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil.
