This unique two-tone variety features a soft, crushed purple base that gradually transitions into a vibrant lime green, topped with a striking ice-white tip. Easy to cultivate, this delightful spring bulb quickly establishes itself, creating dense, colourful mats beneath trees and shrubs, or adding a delicate touch to patio pots. Muscari pairs beautifully with daffodils, tulips, and forget-me-nots, and its blooms are also perfect for cutting and bringing indoors in a small vase. Height and spread: 20cm (8in).
Growing Information
For the best effect, plant muscari bulbs in large groups. Grape hyacinth plants prefer a sunny or semi-shaded position in moist, well drained, fertile soil that is rich in organic matter. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting to improve less than ideal soils. Plant bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4″) and a distance of 5cm (2″) apart.
