Surfinia petunias are world-renowned for their flower power, weather resistance, colour range and versatility. They’re ideal for creating a cascade of colour from hanging baskets or containers or let it tumble over walls in a wave of large-flowered, trumpet-shaped blooms. They also make superb ground cover. Trails up to 90cm (3′). Flowers June-early October. Height 80-90cm (31-35″).
Growing Information
Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.
