Tulip Pink Giant
This stunning variety of Tulip grows flamingo pink blooms with a traditional goblet shape that rise upwards on strong sturdy stems in mid-spring. This eye-catching and elegant variety is perfect for beds and borders where it adds a carpet of colour that contrasts magnificently with its blue-green foliage. The massive blooms and strong stems look amazing for indoor cut flower arrangements, so make sure you grow an extra few to be able to cut and enjoy in a vase. Grow these tulips in large dense groups for the best impact or, alternatively, add to patio pots for a colourful display. Height: 50cm (20″). Spread: 15cm (6″).
Growing Information
Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6″) and at a distance of 13cm (5″) apart.
