Super Marmande
– Semi Bush – Requires some cane supports and shoot removal.

Ailsa Craig
– Cordon – requires climbing support.
– Standard sized fruits with tangy flavour.
– Indoor / Outdoor growing.
Golden Sunrise
– Cordon – requires climbing support.
– Cherry sized, sweet fruits.
– Indoor / Outdoor growing.
Gardener’s Delight
– Cordon – requires climbing support.
– Large cherry sized fruits with sweet flesh.
– Outdoor growing.
The following care instructions apply to all of the 4 varieties:
Sowing Time
January – May
Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in the warmth 18-20 degrees Celsuis (65-70 Fahrenheit) and keep moist. Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from briht sun. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings individually to small pots of potting compost, and maintain a minimum 15 degrees Celsuis (60 Fahrenheit).
Growing On
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed.
Transplanting
When the first flowers have opened, transfer to grow bags, large pots or the greenhouse border.
Aftercare
Water plants generously and regularly. When the frist fruits start to swell, feed with a tomato fertiliser.
Training
Cordon varieties are grown as a single stem. Remove side shoots as they appear. When 4-5 fruiting trusses have formed remove growing tip of main stem to stop upward growth. Bush varieties grow as multi-stemmed plants, with no need to prune. Some support of fruiting stems may be required.
