Tell Me More…
Liven up your summer borders and pots with long-flowering Impatiens hawkeri ‘Clockwork™ Lilac Bicolor’. An abundance of two-toned magenta and pastel pink blooms will flower from early summer and well into autumn. Glossy dark green leaves, elegant and pointed at the tips offer a contrasting backdrop to show off the vibrant blooms. Deadhead flowers and seedpods to ensure a constant stream of colour and avoid mildew problems. A tender perennial, usually grown as an annual in the UK as it does not survive winter frosts. However, can sometimes be successfully overwintered in frost-free area undercover. Compact Impatiens, often affectionately referred to as ‘Busy Lizzies’ are excellent for summer pots or plugging gaps in the border with colour. Plant several together for impact. Plant in full sun or partial shade and perform best in any rich, well-drained soil. Keep potted plants well-watered and feed at least every other week during blooming with a diluted liquid plant fertiliser. Grows
