Description
This beautiful bush is at its best in late summer when slender panicles of violet coloured flowers burst out from squared flower buds. The flowers have pretty orange eyes at the centre and they carry a sweet scent that is irresistible to bees and butterflies. The foliage is another great feature of the ‘Lochinch’ as the leaves are semi-evergreen so they will hold on the bush in milder winters. The foliage is densely packed onto the branches and the lanceolate leaves are grey-green in colour with silvery undersides. This is a great choice for planting in a sunny border and it can even be kept in a large pot.
