Tell Me More…
Smaller than her traditional cousins, Delphinium Magic Fountain ‘Lavender White Bee’ has been bred specifically to seldom need staking.Beautiful lavender-lilac blooms densely pack the strong stems in June and July. A white centre, known as a ‘bee’ attracts pollinators. Perfect for containers and borders, and effective for larger gardens if planted in groups, creating a bold, dense swathe of colour. Like all delphiniums it will benefit from fortnightly feeding throughout the growing season, particularly if there is to be further flowering. For best results plant in fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Delphinium Magic Fountain ‘Lavender White Bee’ is hardy to between -10°C and -15°C. As a short-lived perennial it is often treated as an annual or biennial, though with care and attention can be kept going for longer, reaching a height of around 60cm, spreading to 30-45cm.
