Tell Me More…
Specially bred to produce long-lasting blooms, Primula ‘Belarina’ are a mix of gorgeous modern primroses which will reliably give your garden a splash of colour at an often much-needed time of year. Double, lightly fragrant blooms boast layers of petals in a range of vibrant colours such as pink, purple, yellow and red. Held on short stems above rosettes of dark, semi-evergreen, ruffled foliage from February all the way through to May. Bred by the UK’s top breeder of primulas, David Kerley, the quality and masses of flowers produced are second to none. Incredibly easy to grow and low maintenance, each plant will reach a height of around 20cm and spread around 20-30cm, so are ideal for the front of borders, or for smaller gardens and look stunning planted in containers, window boxes and hanging baskets. They also have the added advantage of not needing to be deadheaded like other varieties. Exceptionally hardy down to around -20°C, Primula ‘Belarina’ prefer to be planted in a position of full sun or partial shade in a moist but well-draining soil. Primulas are fully hardy perennials (H7) with a clump-forming habit.
