Fast-acting, ready to use and organic ‘Vitax Slug Rid’ is an easy way to control slugs around all edible and non-edible plants. Containing Ferric Phosphate, a naturally occurring active ingredient, it is certified for use in organic gardens. At the first sign of slugs in your garden, usually from March to September, evenly scatter ‘Slug Rid’ pellets on moist, bare soil around your plants, at around 5g per square metre. When water is absorbed from the moist earth, the pellets swell and become attractive to slugs. Once the slugs have taken the bait, they stop feeding and move away to die elsewhere, without leaving a trace. Most effective when used early in the morning, or in the evening. When used as directed, ‘Slug Rid’ does not pose a risk to children or pets.
