Tell Me More…
Ceanothus ‘Pershore Zanzibar’ is an unusual and exciting, variegated variety of ceanothus which has golden yellow leaves, mottled with decorative splashes of green. This exceptional foliage is evergreen and, thus, provides interest all year round. Then, commencing in May and lasting into July, small clusters of contrasting pale blue flowers emerge and act as a pull for bees and other pollinators, lasting for up to 6 weeks at a time. Plant with other evergreens for prolonged interest, plants are ideal for the back of a border where they will screen fencing and provide valuable colour.Ceanothus ‘Pershore Zanzibar’ prefers to be planted in well-drained soil which benefits from full sun. For best results protect the plant from strong winds and avoid a north-facing aspect. A hardy, evergreen shrub which matures to a height and spread of 2.5m. Ceanothus ‘Pershore Zanzibar’ is drought tolerant once a good root structure has established.
