Tell Me More…
An ever-popular woody-stemmed relative to the spring bedding wallflower, perennial Erysimum ‘Red Jep’ offers an exceptionally long-lasting and colourful display as an abundant reward for your minimalist efforts. Flowers are produced from April to July (and often beyond), as these plants are generous enough to give a multitude of vibrant, scented flowers on dense, upright spikes. As the name suggests, ‘Red Jep’ bears flowers of many different colours from a rich and intense palette of red, purple and pink. Erysimum ‘Red Jep’ is a drought tolerant plant which is perfect for a rock garden, the middle of a border, or a container display. It needs little more than a light trim after flowering to continue to keep working in your garden year after year. ‘Red Jep’ prefers to be planted in poor to moderately fertile, well drained, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun. H&S:30-45cm with an RHS rating of H4 meaning a hardy, evergreen perennial.
