Tell Me More…
Salvia greggii Peach Cobbler is as far as we know, as near to an orange Salvia as you can get. Peachy orange open-mouthed blooms adorn tall wiry stems from summer to late autumn above sage scented foliage. Very easy to grow, drought tolerant and loved by bees Salvia Peach Cobbler is happy grown in both borders and containers and just perfect positioned near a path or seat where the fragrance will be released when the foliage is brushed against. The word Salvia is derived from the Latin ‘salvere’ meaning ‘to save’ as it has been used medicinally for centuries. Like most Salvia, Peach Cobbler prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in sun or part shade, reaching a height of approximately 75cm and spreading to 60-80 cm.Salvia Peach Cobbler is a hardy perennial which can be grown outside in well-drained soil all year round. Extra winter protection is only required during the very harshest of weather; during milder winters foliage remains.
