Description
This Buddleja is different to most of its kind as it boasts bright lime green-yellow foliage, which really catches your eye, and is the perfect accent colour for planting next to other Buddlejas that have darker leaves. From June to September the leaves are accompanied by a profuse floral display of deep purple flowers that are held in conical clusters. The flowers carry a sweet scent, which makes them very attractive to bees and butterflies; this also makes the ‘Moonshine’ a great choice for a sensory garden.
This shrub grows to have a fairly upright habit and it works well in a sunny bed or border. We love alternating it with the darker Buddleja davidii ‘Adonis Blue Adokeep’ as the accenting colours of the two plants work really well together.
