Tell Me More…
Calibrachoa ‘Can Can Black Cherry’ is a richly hued bloom that truly packs a punch in the colour stakes. Dark, velvety, almost black, petals surround a rich golden eye to make unmissable statements in baskets, window boxes and other containers. With its semi-trailing stems creating a waterfall of blooms, cascading by up to 50cm, flowers are produced in abundance from June to the first frosts. Calibrachoa can also be planted in the ground although we recommend planting them in pots, hanging baskets or at the edge of raised beds in order to get the full benefit of their beautiful, semi-trailing habit. An evergreen, tender perennial, often referred to as ‘mini petunia’ due to their similar appearance and requirements. Calibrachoa ‘Can Can Black Cherry’ is heat and drought tolerant once established and likes a spot with full sun or partial shade in well-drained soil of any type. Reaching a height and spread of 30cm these tender beauties are mainly grown as annuals in the UK. They can, however, be kept in a frost-free environment over winter and reinvigorated the following year.
