Tell Me More…
Nemesia denticulata ‘Confetti’, is an unusual beauty which will become a living flurry of perfumed, summer confetti. Clusters of pink-mauve lipped blooms fade to lilac as they mature. Highly scented – a sumptuous, sweet fragrance is emitted from the flowers which seem to bubble enthusiastically over the generous foliage from May through to first frosts. Astoundingly, plants are often still in bloom near Christmas in milder parts of the UK. An outstanding performer, Nemesia denticulata ‘Confetti’ is terrific in window boxes and containers. Plants are drought tolerant once established and will not fade or suffer in either heat or heavy rain. Perfect for the front of a border or growing over raised beds and wall edges – where froths of flowers will soften edges and add their delicate aroma. Prefers a spot in well-drained soil which is loam or sand based with a position in full sun or partial shade. A hardy, herbaceous perennial which matures to a height and spread of 30-40cm. May benefit from some protection during exceptionally cold winters.
