Description
- A wonderful corkscrew hazel variety, ‘Red Majestic’ boasts intense purple foliage and charming, red-tinged winter catkins.
- The contorted stems, which corkscrew and wind with time, produce a lovely architectural form that looks especially impressive when bare in winter.
- A compact tree (which can develop an almost semi-weeping habit) growing to just a few metres tall, this plant makes a spectacular feature tree for smaller gardens.
- This variety is a recipient of the RHS’s Award of Garden Merit, an award conferred upon those plants shown to perform particularly well in British gardens.
- Fully hardy and tolerant of various soils, this tree – also known as Harry Lauder’s Walking Stick – has twisted its way into our hearts!
