Tell Me More…
A colourful and effervescent bloom which produces an abundance of small, open-mouthed flowers from May right through to October. Foliage has a bushy, mound-forming habit and is semi-evergreen so may be retained all year round in milder parts of the UK. Diascia ‘Little Drifter’ is a half-hardy (H3) perennial which is frequently grown as an annual yet can be overwintered away from frost to reinvigorate and bloom for continual years. Flowers are a vivacious shade of orange-pink, reminiscent of coral or a ripened peach. Produced in multitudes on slender wiry stems ‘Little Drifter’ is perfect for pots, hanging baskets and raised beds where flowers can froth and frill their little hearts out and you can make the most of their semi-trailing or ground covering habit. Diascia ‘Little Drifter’ prefers a spot with a south or east facing aspect in either full sun or partial shade. Plant in moist, well-drained soil of any kind and deadhead as needed to prolong flowering.
