Tell Me More…
This new arrival represents both fantastic variety and excellent value as a wonderful mix of coordinated colours to enliven both containers and borders in the garden, as well as a vase or two inside your home. With flowers in shades of yellows, oranges, reds and pinks emerging in June and lasting through to October time, Osteospermum ecklonis ‘Akila® Hawaii Sunset Mix’ offers an exciting way to support a colourful transition between the seasons for up to five months and beyond. Plants are generous, forming bushy mounds to a height of 35cm with a spread of 50cm. From a practical perspective, they will easily fill a container or provide lush, gap-filling groundcover too. Valuable to pollinators and other wildlife – open-faced flowers offer drought tolerant sustenance throughout the summer heat. Plant Osteospermum ecklonis ‘Akila® Hawaii Sunset Mix’ in well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. Position in full sun with a south or west facing aspect. A tender (H2), semi-evergreen perennial which will need protection from frost over winter or can be treated as annual bedding.
