- Italica is a large, vigorous and slender deciduous tree that makes a striking hedge
- Lombardy Poplar has an unmistakeable tall, slender form. Its leaves are oval and bright green, with crimson red male catkins in spring
- A fully hardy plant which can reach a height of approx 30m but can easily be maintained at lower heights
- Best grown in a sunny spot, Poplar tolerates all soil conditions. It is excellent for extremely wet conditions, windy areas and coastal situations where there is salt spray and is particularly useful as a boundary hedge
