Tell Me More…
Pennisetum is what is known as a ‘fountain grass’ because it looks like a fountain of water rising and spraying in all directions. However, this is not large ‘Trevi’ fountain, the display created is a small compact version. With ‘Little Bunny’ there is a gentle fluffiness about this variety; with ithis softness emphasised when swaying in the warm summer breeze. The leaves have an arching habit, which are dark green in the Spring and Summer, then turn an enchanting gold colour in the Autumn. The quietness induced by this plant is mostly due to the shape of the flower which is best described as a ‘light airy foxtail’. Use Pennisetum Little Bunny in any planting scheme and the golden-yellow flowers are superb in dried and used in cut flower arrangements.
