Tell Me More…
Nemesia ‘Karoo Dark Blue’ is an outstanding addition to your summer planting. Sweetly scented, open-mouthed dark blue blooms, with a deep yellow centre, release clouds of perfume whilst nestling atop tidy mounds of foliage throughout the summer and into the autumn. Originating from South Africa, and commonly known as Cape Snapdragon, for obvious reasons, Nemesia ‘Karoo Dark Blue’ is generally treated as an annual for bedding plants although it is classed as a half hardy perennial, so with protection over the winter will come back the following year. Great for groundcover and suppressing weeds, Nemesia are perfect for borders but also stunning in containers or baskets. Prefer well-drained moist soil in sun or part shade and with a maximum height and spread of 30cm, make a neat and compact plant. Water well in dry spells to maintain flowering. Much loved by bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
