- A vigorous, low growing evergreen shrub that’s ideal for shady gardens
- Glossy green, slightly prickly leaves that take on a purple tint in winter. Large clusters of sunny yellow flowers appear in spring, followed by purple grape-like berries
- Fabulous in a mixed shrub border, as a feature plant in a flower bed or as part of a low hedge
- A fully hardy, slow growing shrub which will reach a height of up to 3m but can easily be maintained at a lower height
- Drought resistant and can be grown in full or partial shade
