- A versatile evergreen plant which grows to 4-5m high but is easily clipped to any height for a feature hedge

- Plant black bamboo in full sun for the most intense colour – alternate it with a green bamboo like Bissetii for maximum contrast and remove the lower leaves and side shoots up to a height of 120cm to show off the canes to their best effect
- Never buy garden canes again – as new culms are formed every year, you can harvest the old ones to use as plant supports
