Hydrangea ‘Cloud Nine,’ a product of TM’s own breeding, is now available. This resilient shrub, which is incredibly beneficial in difficult shaded spots, makes a great patio plant. It also adds height and structure to a border. For months on end, plebs of white lacecap flowers cover the plant, counterbalanced by shiny green leaves. The huge flowers open a pale lime green with remarkable serrated edges before fading to a fantastic white. Height and spread: 120cm (4ft).
Growing Information
Hydrangeas prefer a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any rich fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Alternatively plant hydrangeas in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3.
