Nerine Bowdenii Pink
Brighten up autumn borders!
With dramatic deep green recurved leaves and a beautiful shade of magenta-pink funnel-shaped flowers, Nerine Bowdenii ‘Pink’ is guaranteed to brighten up any autumn border when other blooms are fading away. These impressive, autumn-flowering Guernsey lilies sit on tall, slender but sturdy stems which make stunning cut flowers at a time when blooms are scarce. The hardiest of the species, Nerine bowdenii can be grown in the greenhouse, or outdoors in pots or well-drained borders and rockeries. This easy to grow RHS AGM species is best planted in tight clumps for a dramatic late-season display.
Growing Information
Plant Nerine lilies in a sunny position in sandy, free draining soil. Nerine bulbs prefer shallow planting with the pointed tip protruding just above the soil surface. Nerines thrive when clumps become congested making them particularly well suited to growing in containers. When planting Nerines in containers use a loam based compost such as John Innes No.2 and position in full sun.
