Tell Me More…
Such showstoppers, Cosmic Coreopsis ‘Solar Series’ brings spectacularly bright blooms which are produced in profusion (almost covering the neat clumps of lush, green foliage) continuously from late spring to the autumn. Commonly known as ‘Large Flowered Tickseed’, a relative of the well-known wildflower. Bees and other pollinators will come to visit and feast from these flowers throughout June to October. Gently naturalising, florists will delight as the blooms are beautiful when added to fantastic indoor floral creations. Your collection comprises; ‘Solar Fancy’ – cherry-red flowers with bright yellow margins; ‘Solar Jewel’ – bright red petals with yellow-orange margins; ‘Solar Mellow’ – vivid yellow-orange blooms with a red heart; and ‘Solar Moon’ – soft yellow flowers with dark red heart. Hardy to around -20°C, rating H6 on the RHS scale, the Coreopsis Solar Collection are happy to stay outside all winter without extra protection, becoming dormant over winter in readiness to sprout
