This superb variety will produce a constant display of medium-sized blooms of red, orange or yellow on bushy, compact plants. And they don’t set seed so no ‘dead heading’ is required, and they’ll keep on producing masses of new flowers throughout summer! Height 30cm (12″).
Growing Information
Marigolds are easy to grow and will flower right through the summer. Try growing with a colour ‘foil’ like blue ageratum or silver cineraria.
Sowing Information
Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 15-20°C (60-68°F) using a good quality, finely sieved, moist compost. Cover with 6mm (¼”) of compost. Germination 10-21 days. Transplant seedlings, spacing out 5cm (2″) apart in trays and grow on. Acclimatise plants gradually before planting out 30cm (12″) apart in an open sunny position. Alternatively sow direct outside April-May into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil.
