Acer campestre, the classic field maple tree, is a beautiful addition to any garden. Its green foliage turns a gorgeous yellow or red for the autumn before the leaves fall in the winter, just to make their return in the spring.
Your new tree will love a spot in your garden that receives full sun, but it will also grow in partial shade. It will thrive in any type of soil that is well-drained and kept moist. It may require light pruning from late autumn to midwinter.
