A delicious ‘traditional’ strawberry with medium sized fruit. Strawberry Temptation is an everbearing variety that will produce a steady supply of bright red fruit throughout the growing season. It produces medium sized fruit on a very well presented plant that is suited to pots and containers as well as open ground production. Just add cream for a mouth-watering summer dessert! Easily grown, prolific and delicious. Harvest June-September.
This English bred strawberry is ideally suited to our somewhat indifferent summers. Feed with liquid tomato fertiliser as the fruit develops.
Growing Information
Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in pots in a greenhouse at approximately 18-21ºC (65-70ºF) using a quality compost. Press seed into the surface and cover with 3mm (1/8″) finely sieved compost (germination 10-30 days). Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle singly into 50mm (2″) pots. Grow on, finally planting out 30cm (12″) each way. Water and feed regularly for highest yields. Sowing to Cropping: 18-24 weeks.
