Tall, sturdy and contemporary – Gladiolus ‘Green Star’ brings a striking elegance and colour to summer borders and flower arrangements. A favourite in gardens for its impressive reliability to produce bold and unusual colour. Try planting in groups in intervals to extend the flowering period. Height: 90cm (35″). Spread: 15cm (6″).
Growing Information
Grow groups of gladioli in sunny, sheltered borders on well drained soil. Gladioli require excellent drainage to prevent them from rotting. Improve heavy soils by adding plenty of well rotted manure and grit prior to planting. Plant gladiolus corms at a depth of 10cm (4″) and a distance of 15cm (6″) apart. Try staggering planting over a few weeks, for a succession of flowers throughout summer.
