Bean (Climbing French) Plants – Cobra

The ‘Cobra’ is a delicious french climbing bean that will be produced in profusion right through to autumn if picked regularly. These Climbing French Bean plants will produce fruits that are smooth, long round pods up to 20cm (8”) in length. A climbing bean variety they make a lovely addition to any flower bed and borders. A beautiful RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Growing Information
Pot up plug plants and grow them on in warm, bright conditions until all risk of frost has passed. Gradually acclimatise plug plants to outdoor conditions over 7 – 10 days before planting French beans outdoors in rich fertile, well drained soil in full sun with protection from strong winds.
Plant Climbing beans in rows that are 60cm (24”) apart, or where space is limited, try growing climbing beans onto a wigwam structure. Climbing beans require support from garden canes, strings or netting which should be put in place at the time of planting.
