‘Solario’ F1 (Grafted) is of French origin, specifically developed and bred to grow in unheated greenhouse environments, making them very suitable for the UK climate left to grow on their own admission. Large, thick-skinned fruits will be produced, in a gorgeous, deep red tone, up to 12cm in length and weighing 250g approx. Early to mature, demonstrating a compact growth habit and with good resistance to disease. Height: 90cm (36”). Spread: 45cm (18”).
Growing Information
Peppers may be grown undercover in a greenhouse or polytunnel, or grown outdoors in a sheltered position in full sun. Pot up young plants and grow them on in warm frost free conditions. When plants are well grown transplant them into grow bags and containers, or plant them in well prepared beds of fertile, well drained soil. When growing sweet peppers outdoors, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days prior to transplanting them. Space pepper plants at a distance of 50cm (20″) apart.
