Tell Me More…
Pelargonium ‘Mosquitaway Megan’ brings a bounty of white and plum blooms to the party along with citrus scented foliage which acts as an excellent insect deterrent. Similar in shape to Regal Pelargoniums yet smaller in stature, these plants have the added benefit of lemon fragranced, vibrant green, bushy, serrated foliage. Pelargonium ‘Mosquitaway Megan’ and friends are ideal for planting near an outside dining area or patio so that you can admire the intricately patterned flowers and dine ‘al fresco’ without pesky mosquitoes spoiling the experience. Plants are compact enough to be grown in a pot on a tabletop too – reaching a maximum height and spread of 30-40cm. Blooms appear in May and last through as far as October (dependent upon temperatures). Preferring a spot in a moist, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun or partial shade. As a tender perennial Pelargonium ‘Mosquitaway Megan’ will need overwintering in a frost-free environment, ready to reinvigorate the following summer.
