Rosebud Geranium ‘Blue Sybil’ is a delightful, compact perennial that stands out with its soft blue-lavender, rosebud-like flowers and mounding habit. Perfect for containers, hanging baskets, garden borders, or even as ground cover, this variety offers a unique, cooling colour to any garden space. It thrives in full sun to partial shade, prefers well-drained soil, and is relatively low-maintenance once established. Regular deadheading and occasional pruning will ensure that ‘Blue Sybil’ continues to bloom beautifully throughout the growing season. With its vibrant flowers, attractive foliage, and versatility in the garden, this geranium is sure to be a standout in any landscape or container garden.

To encourage continuous blooming, deadhead spent flowers regularly. Removing faded blooms will also help maintain the plant’s tidy appearance. Light pruning after the blooming season can help shape the plant and encourage new growth in the following season. Remove any damaged or leggy stems to keep the plant compact and bushy.

Like most geraniums, Rosebud Geranium ‘Blue Sybil’ is non-toxic to both humans and pets, making it a safe choice for family-friendly gardens and spaces where children and animals are present.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Growing Information

Pot up pelargonium plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise geraniums to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions in containers, baskets and window boxes. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, non-acidic, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
