- Its foliage starts out an evocative claret colour, before taking on greener shades in the summer, and finally finishing up for the year painted in fiery tones
- The delicate lobed leaves have jagged edges which, when viewed en masse, give the tree a highly-attractive, textured appearance
- This tree has been top-worked, meaning it features a clear stem which won’t grow any taller, and a framework of branches atop te the trunk that will continue to develop – trees grown in this way are ideal for smaller gardens and large patio pots
- With its bold appearance, ‘Tamukeyama’ makes for an excellent feature tree – underplant with astilbes, hostas and ferns to create a truly magical tableau
