Tell Me More…
The soft, pale pink blooms of Fuchsia ‘Bella Sophia’ will fill your baskets and tubs and bring a delicate, graceful ambience to your garden from June through to the first signs of frosts. Incredibly floriferous, the flowers appear on mid-green foliage facing outwards and upwards, so Sophia’s beauty is never hidden. What is more, bees and butterflies cannot resist the compact, semi-trailing Fuchsia ‘Bella Sophia’ and we are certain you won’t be able to either! Position your fuchsia in a sunny spot with some shade during the day. Plant in any well-drained soil or compost and water regularly, preferably morning or evening. A beneficial feed will also be welcomed once every 2 weeks, enabling them to grow with optimum vigour and mature to a height and spread of 20-30cm. Keep deadheading to encourage more blooms. As a tender plant Fuchsia ‘Bella Sophia’ has an RHS rating of H2 and is normally grown as an annual in the UK. However, you may cut back your plant and overwinter in a frost-free environment ready to for it to reinvigorate once the weather warms again the following spring.
