This gorgeous deep purple-red Japanese maple is specially selected for its outstanding leaf colour. With each leaf outstandingly shaped and palmate, it is the deepest Purplish-Red available in acers and turns a deep, deep Red in Autumn.
Plant in moist but well drained soil. Leaves will look their best and most colourful when planted in partial shade. However, this Acer can tolerate sunnier spots in the garden. Water generously when planting around its base, and water regularly within the first couple of years until the plant is well established, especially during hotter months of the year.
